Howdy,
I know spring is a while away, but figured I'd ask anyway.
My car is black and in the spring time I'm going to attempt to remove the millions of fine scratches and then polish and wax. Now I'm probably going to try using scratchX, but that will take forever doing the whole car(They are everywhere.) Any tips on doing this? Also, I have meguiars deep crystal polish. It says that fills in some of the fine scratchesas well. Is this true?
Thanks,

I would use Zaino ZPC and then straight to Z5 on black if it were mine. www.zainostore.com for details.
I'm pretty sure meguiar's scratchX is a product with fillers only, just like zaino Z5
You sould consider using zaino ZPC or a similar abrasive product to take all the fine scratces out. I used it on a few spots where I scuffed the clearcoat and got those flaws out.

+1 on the Zaino, but I have some extra advice. First I have found Scratch X to be pretty useless, for me I always just used a coat or 2 of Zaino to fill in any minor surface scratches. Though be advised this is only a temp fix and does not get rid of the scratches, it just hides them. which to me is better then getting a buffer and trying to remove them with abrasives. For serious scuffs I use ZPC. Also I would ask yourself how the scratches got there? As filling in/removing is only worth it if your not going to make more.
I use a soft cotton wash mit, I clay bar the car every 4 to 5 washes, and the best thing to do also is use a complete system. If your going to use Zaino use all zaino products, the same goes for Meguires. Also I use 100% cotton towels (made in the
) to dry the windows, plastics and glass with. I also use a chamois towel to do the body and dab dry the water droplets. I found that even if there is slight water lines after dab drying the car they always evaporate and never leave water spots (I dry in my garage).
Though I also highly recommend drive drying and using a leaf blower. After 3 coats of Zaino the scratches were filled in and after testing different towels these were what I found to work best. I think my pics speak for themselves.
