Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner.
I have been seeing a lot of the pro detailers on Autopia and other detailing websites use Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner to clean wheels, so when Detailed Image had a promotional special (2 bottles of Full Effect and an 8 ounce bottle of Sonax Dashboard Cleaner for $29.95) I bought some.
I used it on the wheels of my F-150, my wife's Edge and on a Mercedes Benz CLK I detailed today. All I can say is... wow!
My son used some on the wheels of his truck.. he had some staining that would not come off with any other wheel cleaners I had he tried polishing the rims with Mother's all metal polish and a Mother's Powerball, which lessened it a little, but you could tell it was still there... the Sonax removed all of it.
It is a non acidic PH balanced cleaner that sprays out a florescent green color and turn red as it works to remove brake dust and other contaminants. I have already gone through one bottle already and I am definitely going to order more.

Yeah MarcHarris mentioned it a while ago and I found a deal on it and thought "what the hell " and bought it. Used some on my bro-in-laws wheels ( this was in December, the wheels were covered with dirty snow/road salt mix), sprayed some on and waited 5 mins then sprayed it down ( I used a spray bottle because I only did one and it was to cold for a hose). The results were incredible, it shined like I had just polished them and put some wheel wax or something. Lets just say I was impressed.
This stuff is great for removing brake dust also ( scrubbing is required for the more severe cases)
I also use Sonax tire gloss, that stuff is also pretty good. Doesn't cause dirt build up on applied area and last for a couple weeks ( depending on weather and road conditions)
