Self installed chip preventer (like Xpel)?
What are the options for self installation regarding Xpel like coatings to prevent chipping?

Hey Dave. I just received a few rolls of Avery StoneGuard. It is better than the 3M Paint protection that Xpel uses. I'll be covering several areas of my car with it such as the front bumper, hood, rocker panels, mirrors, etc etc etc. I will be selling some of this stuff since I know I don't need it all. The rolls are 8" wide. If you want some I am selling it for $16.00 CAD per yard (plus shipping). Due to the fact this stuff is thick what you first need to do is make a template. Basically cover the area in painters tape. Then using a sharpie, or pencil, trace the area you want to cover. Remove the tape (try to do this in 1 piece) and place the tape on cardboard, bristol board or something rigid that you can cut. Cut out the template. Lay it on the StoneGuard and cut out the pattern. It is best to apply this stuff wet.
