Scratches on "chrome" interior trim

Hey y'all,

I've had these scratches in my inside door handle since day 1, and I want them gone. Can they be polished out or do I have to replace the handle?

Any idea what our 10-14 chrome trim is made out of so I can find a polishing product/method?

Made of plastic.

Use a carnauba wax to lessen the scratches. For the most part, the scratches are there for good.
