Whilst installing my PIE IPOD adapter, I managed to scratch / gouge the metal/plastic of the parking brake. Ford say it only comes as a full unit replacement with cable etc. Anyone got any ideas if I can replace the brake covering or how to remove the scratches and respray or something. The car is 1 week old and already it has these darn scratches. HELP !!!

I did the same thing when installing my Redline leather boot, so it's now covered, but I used wet sand paper and smoothed it out. It turned out quite well.

But the parking brake housing is 2 parts and it clips together, I did manage to get it apart without breaking any part of it. You just gotta work at it. I started at the bottom and worked my way up.
