Wanted to know about the Black paint used on the 2013 mustangs.

It seems to be non metallic, but was wondering if there is still clear coat on it.

All mustangs have clear coat, but not all of them have metallic paint.

 

careful with the blanket statement. All mustangs didn't come with clearcoat, (all) fox mustangs didn't come with clear coat. iirc around '90-'91 it started being used on more colors than in the past but not all. safe to say the newer stuff is base/clear and yes the OP's is clear coated.

"Modern cars" have two stage paint. The new Mustangs do anyway.
