New Wheel Care
I'm getting a new set of Foose wheels for my stang. The question I have is should I prep them in anyway before putting them on?
Spray with a clear coat? recommendations?
Wax? Best wax to use?
OR???
Thanks

Congrats on the wheels!
Are these brand new or are they used? What finish are they?
The key to keeping wheels looking outstanding for time to come is staying on top of them and not allowing too much brake pad dust to build up and stay on their surface. Keep yourself some good wheel brushes (1 for the faces, one for between the spokes / inside the barrels, and 1 for lugs / around the valve stems / center caps) and some quality wheel cleaner (like Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner or P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel) in a large quantity. You can purchase these wheel cleaners in a .5 liter or even 1 liter bottle, but your best bet is purchasing the 5Liter jug which will save you $50-75 and will make sure you have plenty of wheel cleaner over the next 1-2 years.

The wheels are brand new and have a chrome finish.
The 1970 Mach 1 these wheels are going on is used for pleasure cruising and going to shows, cruise nights etc. and will never see a winter day, maybe some rain / wet roads from time to time.
Thanks for any advice.....

Nice!
Chrome might require some decent metal polish as well as it is a rather soft metal that can scratch/swirl easily and can benefit from some light polishing once or twice a year.
I'd still highly recommend some proper brushes and wheel cleaner to keep them looking great. You don't want to let brake dust sit too long as it'll cause pitting in the finish.
