New Product Idea--Temporary Clear Bra.......

Is there anyone here that would be interested in a brush peel off "Clear Bra"" that can be used as temporary front end protection for "Road Trips" or "Track Days" to protect your car from rock chips, love bugs or any other critters that love to make a mess of our cars????

I have been testing such a product since November and I think I am going to bring it to "Market".

The stuff I am testing is a "Water Based" substance that you paint on with a foam brush and the more protection you want the more coats you paint on. Being water based it is safe for all painted surfaces and plastics. The cost will be a bout $2 to $4 per application. All you do is use masking tape to outline the area you want to protect and paint it on. Let it dry (about 1 hour) then hit the road, after your trip, you peel up one corner and peel it off. Most of it will peel off in one piece, but any that doesn't want to peel off can be washed off with your hose sprayer.

I value the opinions of people on this board--so I need some feedback does anyone besides me need a product like this???????

I have tested the Duplicolor stuff and it doesn't work either. No mater how many coats you spray on it isn't thick enough to protect against "rock chips" and after it cured I could rub it off with my finger using very little pressure. Also with Duplicolor you have to mask off the car with tape and paper because you are spray painting it on, very time consuming. My product only requires that you use tape to out line the area you are protecting.

Seems like a good idea, think I will wait for others to try it first.

Like I posted earlier, I have been testing it since last November and it works as long as you follow the directions. I have put it on my Expedition about 15 times, for as long as 1 month at a time and I put it on my HD F 150 for 2 week long trips to the beach and just peeled the love bugs off when I got home. I have some video's of the stuff being peeled off, but I suck at the Interweb so I don't know how to post them.

Hey man! I've been following your development on Qwik's site, and look forwad to trying the product on my way home from MCA. I do have one question . . . my hood is an epoxy paint, so will your product work on paint that isn't clearcoated?

Jason, it is Water Based and the chemical company I get it from says it is safe for all painted and plastic surfaces. I have not tried it on epoxy paint yet.
