Mothers Power Ball: Ever tried it on polished Bullitts?
Mothers Power Ball: Ever tried it on polished Bullitts?
I saw this product at Autozone and was thinking of trying it on our new 18" polished Bullitt wheels. I stopped myself though because I wasn't sure which polish I should use and if it was even worth it. I know how easy polished wheels can scratch and get yucky, so I thought this would be a good idea. Can anyone chime in any thoughts or experiences?

if it's got a clearcoat, which I assume they do, use the normal process that you would on paint, ie, clean, polish, and wax. I wouldnt use the power ball simply because I dont think a machine can do as good of a job in tight places like on your wheels
I know it has been said before (cause I am one of those that said it) but the polished rims that come from the factory are clearcoated. You should not be using an aluminum polish on the rims.....period! Just take care of your rims like you do the paint on your car. Wax them when you wax the car. If brake dust, etc won't come off, just use a scratch/swirl remover.

I guess I should comment on the powerball though. It sucks......period
Had one of the small 3" and large 6". They fall apart easily. Flitz makes a better product that you can get at autogeek. It works great on my rims (mine are not clearcoated). I won't waste my money on the Powerball ever again.
