The lazy car wash
Anyone else do this? I don't have a garage so the car is out in the open everyday. The only time that i can do a proper handwash to the car is when i have to work weekends at the workplace.
It's been rainy lately at virginia. Sometimes i have no choice but to do a touchless carwash. Even with pressurized water, from my own trial and error, i dont trust it enough to hand dry with towels because the risk of particlesis till on the surface.
So after the wash i just let it air dry. And of course water spots will appear after it dries. But, when it rains it appears to remove most of the waterspots.
So i have been welcoming the rain lately. Not much choice really since i dont have an enclosed garage.

Never run your car through that touch less wash again.
Also: Don't ever use the brushes at the hand wash either.
Wait until the car wash is pretty empty and put some quarters in and bucket wash! I did this in my younger days when I lived in apartments and with my older stang. The car wash attendants don't like people doing this in some places...depends on where you're at. Forget them! You have to take care of your car.
Point is, the quick bucket wash is way less harmful than the touch less. It may take a few minutes more to complete but it's worth it in the long run.

I meant to say pressure wash. Yea the only thing touching my car is my wash mits. I been thinking of doing bucket washes on local car washes.
I have black paint. I dread to see what my car would look like after going through those things.

Gotcha. Your car will be fine. My S281 didn't see a garage for the first 5 years of its life and still look great. Wax will be your key.
P.s. I had one car wash attendant come right up to me, got in my face and said "hey! No bucket washing!"
I smiled and said "no problem. I don't have time to wash buckets. I gotta get this car clean!"
That guy eventually called the police after I made a habit of it. Anyway....
