Interesting. Glad osmeone took the time to do this!.

Ive used the Zymol(maybe made by turtle wax) for a long time. Always liked it. And was used on a black car. I was unaware of an expensive zymol, and glad I didnt, I couldnt afford it!

Already have made the decision to go with Zaino on the new Mustang from day one.

Thanks alot for the link.

whyd they use the Meguirs Gold Class, that hasnt been their best product in a long time, and now have NXT which is a lot cheaper and better than the other products listed.....someone needs to do this right, anyone volunteer a car, actually if somone wants to donate some of the products to test I will do a fair test on my 98s hood, it has been a long time since it has been done and could use it and would be a good test subject, since its just been sitting in the garage for a long time....

Where is a good place to buy Zaino that is cheaper then ordering it direct, also does AutoZone carry it?

I belive on-line is the only place to buy it. It's a Monopoly!

It is a direct order only, except in New Jersey. I think it is worth every penny.

Is it worth it to get a kit or is just the lok and clear coat wax good enough.

Also my dealer actually waxed the Mustang before I picked it up. How do I strip off the old wax without damaging the clearcoat to put on the Zaino, dish soap?

To remove old wax wash your car using warm water and Dawn liquid dish detergent.

I just got the Zaino Ultimate Show car protection Kit. Read the application tips and now just waiting for the car! This was a B-day gift. I cant wait to use it! Ive heard nothing but good things about it. I feel that maybe they left a few things out of the kit that shoulda been added tho.

Where do you get Zymol? I don't have to have the way expensive stuff, but I'd like to have a nice wax that I don't have to order. Sounds like this Zymol is what I'm looking for. Thanks. -Marci

James,
The kit comes with a clay bar which you go over the car with and it will take the wax off. The kit comes with complete instructions. I read about how great Zanio was from the folks in here so I decided to try it. It is the best product I have ever used and I've been detailing my cars for (well lets just say lots of years).
fyi- plan on spending the better part of a day the first time through the process because you have to remove all the wax.

What he said! I picked up Zaino's Ultimate Car Care Kit about a month before my care was delivered. I started with the clay bar when the car had 46 miles on it. It was amazing how much of a difference it made on new paint! The rest of the system worked perfectly. I ended up with two coats of Z5 and one coat of Z2, all three applied with the new accelerator. I love the shine and how smooth the paint feels.

Speaking of which, it is due for another coat or two... Unfortunately, it is going to have to wait a few more weeks. Too much rain in the evenings to be washing my car now! Plus too much work to do around the house. Sigh.

What about Ziebart? I have Ziebart protection from my dealer and will get a whole range of cleaners and conditioners including one for leather and one for vinyl, anyone ever use them?
