Hey guys. I was just wonder how the paint is holding up so far on the new Stang? Any chips on the hood or bumper yet? I was thinking of getting the 3M Stone Guard installed on the front bumper, front part of hood and maybe behind the rear tires (since there are no mud flags). Anyone think this is a good idea or is it unessessary. I had this installed on my old car because it's paint was prone to chipping and it worked very well.

Thanks

Although the paint seems durable, I had the 3m treatment done on my hood. Paint will damage the paint iif a rock comes flying up at high speeds and a few hundred dollars is money well spent IMHO.

After going a month of parking too far away from parking lot cement dividers, I scuffed the bottom of my front bumper... Picking up touch-up paint @ the dealer,

My wife did the same darn thing when we drove it to PA. She drove it onto one of those freakin tall curbs at a rest area somewhere in W.VA. I was sooo ticked. It only scraped it a little bit-surprising.
The paint is holding up great other than that. I was showered by little pebbles coming off the back of a dump truck-again ticked. Not a single chip though.

I hope you 3M'ed the front bumpers because 90% of the debris will hit there, not the hood.
