How do you guys clean your windows?

I've tried Rain-X window cleaner and Gunk window cleaner, I can't seem to eliminate streaks! It's hard for me to see during the day time, I notice how crappy I did usually at night lol. I even recently bought those hypo-allergenic fancy window cloths but I guess I would need to start cleaning my windows at night to be able to see.

Any tips or tricks?

Stoner - Invisible Glass.

One of the best glass cleaners out there and it's cheap and available almost everywhere. $3 and change and Wally. It's also Tint safe. I use the aerosol one. it's a green and black can with a yellow cap.

And I use a nice microfiber made for glass.

Very Important. If you don't have a shady place to do in the day time, clean the windows early in the morning, performing the cleaning twice, both times with new clean cloths.

Also, don't put any chemicals on the dash, they will get easily transferred to your hands and towels when you attempt clean your windows.

Additionally, if you have been putting something on your dash to make it look shiny, this will cause light glare back on the windshield, reducing your vision through the windshield.

When choosing a cloth to clean your window, don't use towels or rags that were washed and dried normally. Most of those processes add some sort of fabric softener that will just streak your windows.

Lastly, if you smoke or drive with the windows down often, your windshield will become dirty on the inside much quicker.

I have a horrible skip (windshield wiper blade) on the drivers side. I have cleaned the outside glass several times, replaced the blades with two different manufacturer type blades, yet I still get a skip on the drivers side.

Might this cleaner help that?

Thanks for the tips! I forgot about Stoner, crap I'll have to pick that up. Yeah my car is not in a shady spot and sits in the sun all day so I'll have to do it at the crack of dawn or at night. So the 2 I mentioned are no good I guess. That's what I bought too, the micro-fiber towels. Hopefully the Stoner combined with these towels will do the trick!

I start washing my car at 6am (before the sun comes up). That leaves me plenty of time to clean the windows before the sun's heat hits 'em.

Any tips on removing calcium build up from the sun drying up water? I hear that vinegar + newspaper works, but I was hoping there's a chemical I can buy from an auto parts store.

Tried so many glass cleaners none that work as good as Krogers hand sanitizer. Not sure what it does to extra tints..but on normal glass there is none better...It's the alcohol that does the work. Eats smoke etc away, no streaks. Try it on a mirror at home or computer screen, you will be surprised how good it is.

The ink from the newspaper does not get onto the glass? My fingers are always black from the ink when I read it...

Not that you can see anyway - maybe that's what prevents the streaking. Car windows, house windows, my wood stove glass, etc. all come out clean and streak free. But I do have to wash my hands afterwards.

On glass??? It always left a greasy look on the dash when I used in in the early years; in a day, the dust stuck to the dash from using it (Armour All). I also read that it contained alcohol, which actually dries out plastics.
