Well, hello. THis is a very simple topic relating to car care in general that kind of goes along with the car care thread in this forum.

I was wondering how you all dry your cars?

-Do you use Microfiber cleaning cloths?
-Do you use bath towels?
-Do you use old rags?
-Mr Clean auto dry?
-Leaf Blower?
-Chamois

After voting, please tell us why you use the method you do, and how well it works for you.

It would depend on the car,,,,,,and type of paint job it had IMO.

But you realy can't go wrong with a shamoose (sp?) if you take care of it.,,,,,

Dangit, I use those too. I forgot to put that. Those are great, but they only wipe the water off of the big surfaces on the car, what else do you use to dry your car after using it?

Mods, can that be an option also.

I use old towels because I've yet to see a waterblade in any store (not that I've looked).

Oh, and shouldn't this be in the Car Care forum? None of this has anything to do with the 05.

Added in Absorber and California Water blade. I acctually use both of these products. myself. I'll vote for the absorber since i can use it by itself.

The absorber is NOT leather chamois. Nor is terry cloth towel.
But it's probably the best drying tool you'll ever discover. The
secret of it's effectiveness is it's amazing sponge-like pore structure that enhances the capillary action and gives it superb absorbency. It may take some getting used to. Don't be afraid to experiment a little. You can't hurt it. Some people like to spread it out and pull it over the surface. Some like to use it folded like a pad. Others like to use it bunched up loosely in their hands. If your absorber is not clean when you put it away it might acquire an odor, or even mildew. If this happens it will not affect the absorber itself. Just wash it with your regular wash using liquid detergent and ammonia. If soap residue remains, just rinse with a little vinegar. Soaking is not necessary.

Most of the time I use a leaf blower, but I have used a microfiber cloth several times... The leaf blower is quick and easy, but it can leave scrathes if you get too close.

I use my neighbors hot air to dry it....he has this habit of coming over whenever I wash my car, and proceeds to tell me about how old he is getting.

It has a filter in the hand held system that removes the impurities so that it will dry without spots. The only problem is that you have to keep buying filters and the special soap.

I just use 2 clean bath towels. Seems to work fine and I haven't noticed any scratches.
