Does anyone know what company has the best quality headlight and foglight film out there. I have read about some but have been leary about buying them. I want some that is easy to install and will withstand the heat from the lights without melting or coming loose. Does any of them have a warranty. Thanks for any help.

I would look into the 3M auto protection film. I have it all over the front of my car. Protects from nicks, scratches, bugs, etc. It is virtually invisible.

After seeing what happens to the film, I decided to order the hard plastic covers from GTS. Luckily the cheesy logo is easily removable.

I ordered off ebay and I'm still waiting for them. VERY disapointed in the seller (autoaccessory4u) and I'll NEVER buy from them again.

I have a set of the GTS covers and their fit isn't quite as good as I'd hoped it would be. In my case the covers don't seem to fit flush to the front of the fog lights (they fit at a slight angle). In my case they also do not feel secure. Typically I only use them for car shows as I've noticed one of them vibrating out of the front of one of the fog lights after driving it for a day over Phoenix highways.

I got clear film (20mil) for my headlights and turn signals and yellow film for my fog lights (17mil) from Stickercity.com. They are adhesive but removable (not re-usable). The fog light film was a perfect fit. The headlight and turn ignal film needed minor trimming. The instructions were very good and easy to follow. I applied them in my garage in February 2006 and they are still on and look great. No tears, no cloudiness, no bubbling from hot lights. I think the whole set cost me about $60, cheap enough to re-do every couple of years if necessary and much cheaper than replacing a lamp assembly due to rock chips.

I got Jels ( plastic) from Harmon show lenses. $5 ea set. have has them on since Aug. and have not had any problems.

I sell tinted film, and I can probably get clear or other colors if you wanted it, though it may cost extra. I have sold many sets and I have had no complaints.

I just need clear films for the foglamps and headlamps and must handle a temperature range of -20F to +100F in all-weather conditions.

A good quality film should be thick enough to help protect from rock chips.
The real thin stuff won't help though.

I would like to protect it from rock chips. A yellow film will only serve to reduce the light output. Why would anyone want colored film?

Pretty much yes but I ended up with a different sku number, see below...Basically orded the clear set but specified yellow for the fogs only.

Also, I wanted to update that it was actually less than $60 with shipping

Light output is not that much reduced for yelow film, at least not as much as the grey or smoked films a lot of people use.

As for why use a colored film? Just to personalize my car a bit. You might as well ask why some people add stripes...

I found Harman's show lenses on eBay and it appears they only carry smoke/limo tint film for the headlamps and a bunch of show-car films for the foglamps. The way he was throwing in free overlays was cool, but i'm guessing it is just 5 mil stuff only good for show-car use.

They said they will sell the foglamp and headlamp overlays. I'm still waiting for them to comment on if the $44 kit has the 4 overlays or if I need to buy them separately. Otherwise, these are 40 mil and are suitable for protective purposes.
