So I just Zainoed my car today. This is after about three coats... the first couple looked really good and I didn't really think the shine was any better than anything else I've used (I've been using Meguiar's for years and LOVE it).

But after the third coat and some of their "Z8" spray it really popped!

I'm a Zaino man for life now

Where did you get that bumper? That's probably the only after market bumper I've seen that I like. How much did it cost to have it painted and installed?

It's the Street Scene rear valence. Didn't replace the whole bumper it's just sort of a skirt add-on.

Z2 with the accelerator? I've been a Meguiars fan for life too, and decided to give Zaino a try on the new Stang also. I agree, the first two coats really don't do much, but after that, things start to happen! Even with the accelerator, I still leave it on for 1/2 hour.

Yeah I used the accelerator. This time I actually left it on for about 1/2 hour as well. Not by choice, but my wife came home and I had to go upstairs and help her with groceries.

So I'm thinking maybe I'll leave it on for 1/2 hour from now on as well.

The front bumper is also Street Scenes... it's the whole kit, bumper, side skirts, and rear valence. And I have a CDC ducktail as well.

I got mine from Brother's performance, although the packaging on the front bumper wasn't as good as I would have liked.

Looks awesome. I'm going to be ordering some Zaino in the spring to try it out.

Thanks John... yeah I highly recommend it.

The Z8 detailing spray is really great too. The Z6 is very good, but that Z8 stuff is really nice.

First time I ordered I got the pre-made kit with all the leather stuff etc. I really like pretty much all of it, except the leather conditioner doesn't seem to last very long so I switched to Aerospace 303 which is very nice.

Wow, that looks great! Once I finish the bottle of Meguiers I have, I may have to get some Zaino.

Thanks

Yeah I really love Meguiar's products and would recommend them to anyone.

But for me the Zaino is just slightly better and it lasts much longer. I was using NXT before and loved the shine, but after a couple of weeks the NXT starts to fade a bit but the Zaino just keeps on going.

As I sit here writing this short tale this morning, I'm still tired from detailing this awesome green machine, I went to work yesterday and took advantage of the lift that was available since the service shop was closed for the holiday.

I started by washing the car with Rain X car wash & wax (wanted to try it) dried it off even was able to use an air blower to get the water out where it likes to hide in every nook and cranny, it was nice to have the lift so I could raise the car up and be able to wash the back side of the wheels where all the filth hides, and was able to work on each wheel with detail and not have the water splash. I even applied some Vinylex to the plastic wheel well liners and all the black plastic outer trim

then applied the car wax Mothers california gold original (1st time to try it) the wax went on real easy and again the lift made it more of a pleasure since I could raise the car to a comfortable working level.

I did find if I waxed the hood and both front 1/4 panels it had plenty of time to haze over, but it did make the wax harder to get off, so I did not get ahead of my self from that point forward I just did a section each time

My total time on this job...I started at 9am and closed the door behind me at 5:15, and the car looks great !!!

I to will try this Zanio at some point[attachmentid=41450]

The nice thing about my Zaino, compared to the carnuba based stuff I used before, is that it seemingly repels dust. Overnight in the garage, a fairly decent layer of dust would be on the car.

Now, minimal to NO DUST! I love it.

OK OK OK I've been reading about Zaino for over a month. Several times I've sat down to order the stuff. All of the Zaino pics look awesome. I am a wax on wax off kind of person. I wash a car, I dry a car, I use some name brand polish/wax you apply then wipe off when haze appears. Looks to me like a degree in chemistry and physics might be needed for this Zaino! I can't mess it up right? More importantly, I can't hurt the car, right? Looks like one of the kits has everything I need-no Z8 though, but that's not a must.(right?) BTW I love my California Dash Duster, but I think the California Duster left small scratches in the clearcoat. I did not press down hard, I know dust can scratch. Must be that black paint! Thanks for all of your info. here. I guess I'll just take the Zaino plunge!

You're supposed to leave it on for a half hour at least, so that it can fully dry.

here's mine after claybar and one coat of zfx and z8
