Now that I've had my new Mustang for a week, my thoughts turn to maintenance and keeping that Race Red looking racy over the long haul. I'm starting with a clean slate here, so what I'd like to ask from all of you is what products, methods, and frequencies you all observe for maintaining the paint on your cars. I ask, because I know what I do, but there may be better products, better notions on how to do things, and so on.

Considerations: I live in Central Texas, so this is a high heat, dusty condition, with intermittent periods of monsoon...LOL The sun beats down hard here.


What are your suggestions?

 

Me and my brother live in DFW so I know what u mean, he also has a 2011 race red gt, here is what we do, start out washing the car, then clay bar, followed by a polish, then a good wax and you should be good to go, we both use Adams Polishes, in my eyes the best stuff you van buy for your car. Hope that helped
