I always said that after my third dent that I would consider PDR. (Paintless Dent Repair) Well, my wife chalked the third dent last night in the garage when she carelessly flung her door open of her fusion. For reference: I have a ding on the left fender well, lower drivers door, and a six inch "crease" on the quarter panel. (very unsightly but no paint was broken)

Ive researched this forum but I want to get some advice and educate myself on the subject before I start getting estimates. Also if anyone knows of anyone in the Indianapolis area. That being said,

My biggest fears are:
1. Cost
2. Removal of panels and tail lights. I cringe at the idea of some one using screw drivers to mar into the soft plastic of the door panel or scratching up my bumper as they crawl into my trunk.
3. DRILLING, Has anyone had to get a hole drilled in their car for access point? Im not even sure how I feel about drilling into the wheel well or behind the tail light.

Has anyone in here used PDR? Has anyone had to drill into the body or well? (pics would be appreciated) Anyone use a mobile dent repair? Any horror stories? (I hope not.)

Anyone just live with the dents? sadly, if it costs too much..I may have to.

Being a retired used car dealer and car guy I have had hundreds of PDR's on several cars. Even had PDR done on 3 hail damaged cars with hundreds of hail dents. I have always been amazed at the quality of the repair, never had a problem. Call the local Dent Wizzard, ask for references, ask the references for the techs personal name and phone number. Often times a tech will do it his personal time for less $$. Good luck.

I cant give you info in your area, but I can tell you we had them remove a crease in the front fender of my Escape that was over 12 inches long,. They didnt drill or anything ,they also removed dents in the Piller (Tree limb fell on it)
It was perfect, no paint chipping, cracking and no visual left overs.
Dont be scared

Thanks, I've seen good reviews on them. I heard that the dealerships charge more and just contract out a dent repair service?

Thanks. I think if a repair service suggests drilling, I will go elsewhere.

I have a similar dent on mine, luckily since mine is silver, you can hardly see it unless I tell you where it is.

Why do my eyes automatically look at each time I I get into the car?

In turn, causes me to ask questions like "How long am I paying on this car?" and "I wonder if 10 more will pop up in its place after I fix it?"
