Question clay bar

do i need to be in a cool garage out of the sun to use the clay bar? is it like waxing a car, do i need to run the car through a car wash before i start, or just run the hose over it, use the caly bar while wet or dry?

Wash your car the best you can getting all possible dirt off before claying. Use clay lube or the clay may stick to the paint. Most clay comes with a bottle. Try to be in the garage so that the clay lube does not dry as fast and leave spots. Wipe off the clay lube after you use clay with a cotton or mirofiber towel. The paint should feel very smooth after claying. After you are done, you are ready to wax.

My .02-It works great! Your paint will be so smooth the towel will just fall off the car.
