Chrome Spray Paint?

Has anyone ever tried chrome spray paint?? does it look like real chrome, or is it not a good idea at all?...also, what would it cost to get something chromed..I would assume it depended on size, so say I want to get a shock tower brace chromed...how much?

I used it on a set of old wheels. Doesn't look like chrome. Looked like really nice shiney painted wheels.

I used chrome duplicolor on my overflow tank and my power steering tank. Looked like chrome until I shot clear on them, then they looked aluminum. Here are pics. The chrome by itself seems to fingerprint real easy and never seems to totally cure. I also ran into problems with chrome enamel when I was building plastic models for competition. Chrome paint is not fun to work with.

It is the metallic compounds used to make the stuff shiney that causes the drying issues. I am a printing-press operator, and we sometimes use metallic inks that have the same properties. Let's just say that I strip down before I get in my car to go home. The stuff NEVER cures.

Send it out to get done. You won't be happy any other way. I've used chrome spray on my trailer wheels... and lets just say it's perfect for a trailer that pulls a lawn mower.

It is funny. 3 men and one woman all getting in their cars with clothes flying everywhere. Granted, we don't get surprised often, so most bring a change of clothes on the rare occasion it's needed.
