I live in the 'Burgh and am looking into the 3M car bra for my Bullitt when it comes in. I have a printout for the "3M Paint Protection For Your 2008 Mustang" from one installer and it appears that there are kits for 5 options - Hood, Fender and Miror Kit for $175, Upper Bumper Kit for $175, Lower Bumper Kit for $450, Rocker Panel Kit for $125, and Wheel Opening Kit for $125. I also understand that I can get film for the rear bumper for $100. I don't know if these prices are negotiable - but will soon find out (what is not negotiable?!)
I believe that 3M gives a 5 year warranty on the film.
I would be interested in hearing from others as to which bodypart kits they would recommend for the Mustang - because the cost of all the kits can add up real fast!
I know that there is a lot of bad vibes on the teflon paint treatment - but one dude here offered me the Auto Armor with 7 yr guarantee for $195. I may go with it - my gf had the TST paint treatment on her Saturn 3 years ago - iwith no waxing after 3 years it still looks like new and the bird poo is a lot easier to clean off, etc. But if I go with both the paint treatment and the clear bra, I will get the clear bra on first and then the paint treatment applied over it. The clear bra should be applied to the bear paint and the paint treatment will give it a good seal.

Thanks for the info. But the price of the kit that I was given included the installation by a certified installer. I understand that these things are not that easy to install. And 3M only guarantees the film if it is installed by a certified installer.

Thanks for the info.I have 3 installers in my area that I will call to get quotes. It seems that it would be better in the long run.Especially if you can get 5-7 yrs out of it.

I got a quote for mine...$495 for everything. I think I'm going to buy the kit on eBay and see how it works out. I talked to the tint guy about it while he tinted my car and he seemed to think I'd be able to do it if I was careful and took my time.
CDY, you can see it if you look really close. My car will be garaged, and not driven a ton, since I drive a take-home to and from work, so I don't think I'll have any of the "yellowing" issues from the 3M stuff I've been reading about.

I have priced the 3M clear bra kits on ebay. They include covers for the mirrors, hood and front bumper. They are 8 mil. and start at $180, that includes shipping.
BTW- I saw a picture of an 08 Bullitt with a clear bra and now I can't find it. Has anyone seen this picture on here? If so, please send me the link.

If you can price one out to meet your budget I would highly recommend one.
Cdynaco, you can see it's there when you are right on top of the car and are looking for it. Other than that it's invisible.
