California Duster

I got my California Duster yesterday after reading everyone's posts about it. It is definately the best! Used it right there in the parking lot to remove the pollen.
Curious though, do you have to remove the duster to clean it? Or what?

Not that I know of. I got one last year and it said in the instructions the dirtier it is the better it works. You might want to double check with them on cleaning instructions just in case you need to wash it.

You're very welcome. By the way how did that 3M bumper guard come along? any estimates yet?
I was just wondering for when I eventually get my car fully restored to take to shows, I might be interested in something of the sort.

haven't found a dealer yet. I asked a mechanic at the Ford Dealer the other day while having my oil changed, but he didnt know where I could go. I live near Hattiesburg, so maybe I can check around there. I will keep you posted.
I definately will have it done.

The card duster works great on my black car for getting pollen of however it must be used in the shade on a cool car or else the wax leaves streaks on the car. the silcone water blade is terrible i noticed it scratching my clearcoat and dragging acorss it with a squeaking noise.
All of these things may not be noticed if you don't have a black car and these are in my experience.
However a black car is the ultimate litmus test for any of these products

Yes it did say on the package to use it on a cool surface. I would let my car sit in the garage for about 3 or 4 hours and then do it. Shake it off when you're done too to get any excess dirt off. Good luck!

They can both cause small scratches and swirl marks, but if you don't mind they are two products that save a lot of time. Just don't use the duster when your car is dirty. Only when it is clean and a very light film of dust on it. If it is dirtier than that, Quick Detail Spray it, and if it is dirtier than that, wash it.
