So stupid me who decides to have a smoke in his new beloved Mustang burns a hole in the leather directly in the middle of the seat. Here's the story: I was sitting outside of the door and lit a match. Well a little piece of the match where the sulfur is flew into the car and I thought it landed on my lap (I was wrong as I later found out). Well I go to get in my car after work and notice a burn hole , not big but big enough to drive me carzy , in the seat. My question is what can I do to get this repaired?? I know there are patches, etc., but the opinions on this site I take seriously and with high regard. I am not going to do it myself as I am handy with tools and automobiles, but not upholstery. Any suggestions and opinons are welcome. Thank You!!

Matt

Google a company called Leather Medic. They'll come to you, and fix it reasonably. I used them to repair the vinyl on my boat, similar story... they did a fantastic job, I can't even find where the repair was. Completely like brand new.

Check EBAY:
I've seen OEM seat covers on there from people who have customized their interiors.
Don't fix it...car is still "new"...replace it!

I wasn't literally smoking in my car. I was getting out and the wind was blowing so I lit a match before I got out. I never smoke in my car though, I never have, this is the first time the smell of cigarettes has even come close to the car. thanks I'll check out that company.

Sorry to hear that. I have heard that leather can be repaired ver successfully.

I am a smoker as well and took a vow with my pony that the only thing I would smoke, is her tires.

Good luck.
