Best types of drying towels

What is the best type of drying towels to use for drying your car after a good wash?

I heard 100% all cotton made in USA? Is that correct?

I use a waffle towel that I bought from Adam's http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-106-a...ing-towel.aspx...works awesome. Lightly towel dry and then followup with the spray detailer/micro fiber towel. Great products and the tire VRT is great too...

I use waffle-weave microfiber drying towels on all of my cars. I've used chamois and cotton towels in the past, and the WW MF towels are by far superior. I get mine at Griots, but they are available lots of other places as well.

Cotton... =[ Swirl marks, anyone?

I use those Target "Vroom" Microfiber cloths... sometimes I use a leaf blower to get most of the water off first.

Waffle weave microfiber after a good hit with the leaf blower like stated above. Leaf blower works great on the front grill, mirrors, wheels, etc.

Just be sure not to dry your microfiber towels with fabric softener. Most sites clearly state not to do this, but the wife had been using fabric softener on them and drying them on high and well I need a new set of towels.

Huh...I just learned something today already. Never thought of using a leaf blower to get rid of the majority of the water. I will have to try it!!

Uhh... I might add to use an ELECTRIC leaf blower; I've heard that gas powered ones sometimes spew oil/gunk/exhaust gases onto the car...

If you have a large air compressor and a small nozzle, that'll work well too (when used with short bursts).

These FTW!!

Adam's make fantastic products, these are the only thing that touch my baby. LOVE THEM!

Very very very soft. Highly recomend them. A tad pricy, but well worth it.

I've tried several different ways. I like the old chamois the best over all.

I've been using the waffle weave microfiber ones for years. I wash them with the rest of my detailing stuff & just drape them over something to dry.

I did not know it either. And then I ignored the advice. But now I can attest to it. No high heat and no fabric softener for sure.
