Did the Dr. ColorChip paint touch-up today

I had 3 good-size rock chips in my new-to-me 2006 GT that I bought a month ago. After agonizing back and forth for a week between having them professionally touched up and doing it myself with the Dr. ColorChip kit, I ordered a Dr. ColorChip kit.

Being as my car is black, and that I'm really good at screwing stuff like this up, I was a little apprehensive about it. Basically, you dab paint over the chip, then smear it flat with your thumb. Then you use a liquid they provide to remove the smear, leaving paint only in the chip. I watched their video twice, then tackled my car. The bottom line is that it works great and I had no problems or screw-ups at all. You can still see the chips if you look, but at least they're body-color now. It sure beats having blobby touch-ups or having to repaint the hood. I definitely recommend their product.

I just touch up some chips on my hood with paint from www.touchuppaintonline.com and I used a toothpick to apply it. I am sure yours looks better with the blending solution though, but I just couldn't justify spending $40 for the Dr. CC kit, but since the results sounds pretty great, I might just have to give it a shot next time.
