I've used armor all for years with great results and no problems. Sorry to hear about your mishap, hope you can fix it!

My local upholstery shop warned me against using ArmorAll. They said to only use a water based product on vinyl. If it is not water based, it will cause premature failure of the material by sealing the surface and eventually drying it out.

Not to say AA is the best product but...
I used AA for 15 years on my old truck. It never dried anything out.
I sold it 6 years ago to a friend.
After 21 years it still has no "failures".
How bad can it be?

I've read good things about using pledge on the dash. I've also done it myself for quite a while. But only about 3 times a year.
