Anyone try that Detail Doctor Stuff?

Saw it on TV and just wondered if it actually worked good. My bottom plastics still look great just thought if it worked and put some shine on them without a messy grease then I wouldn't mind paying the money but as we all know most stuff on those "as seen on TV" don't work that well. Thoughts?

That's your common sense kicking in. You would be very wise to listen to it.

I wouldn't use it.

Nevermind that it's a TV product, but they say it does the job of about 6-8 other products, and that's not going to deliver a very good result with any of them.

Like any of these TV informercial items, if the product is that great, why isn't it just in the stores like everything else?

Yes, I've used it, so I can provide an opinion based on personal experience instead of speculation. I ordered it on-line, but these products (detail doctor and wipe-new) are now available in stores like Walmart, Walgreens, and Target. I saw Wipe-New on the shelf at Walmart yesterday.

IMO, the product works as advertised, and I recommend it. I used it on the black plastic of our 2005 Honda CR-V. It made all of the "chalkiness" disappear, and the plastic has remained shiny for about 3 months so far. If you get it on the paint, it will come off with rubbing alcohol. My only complaint it that is smells terrible! I think it is made with linseed oil. The smell does go away once it dries.

Others may have a different opinion. No, I don't sell this stuff or own any stock in the company.
