Ya so i spent the past 3 days cleaning the underbody of my stang. I thinks its the cleanest its ever been since I bought it! lol anyone else crazy enough about their car to do this?

I've found a few coats of Zaino on the underside help keep it cleaner so you don't have to jack it up and clean it as often.

Just run thru a deepish puddle it will give a good rinse

 

you mean crazy as in putting the car on jacks, taking the wheels off and getting under the car and wiping everything down even the stuff you NEVER see from the human eye. i dont think its crazy. we just want our cars clean right??

Maybe we should start a new thread showing who has the cleanest mustang underbody.

 

I do know someone with a 2002 Camaro SS convertible that does exactly that, his car is usually extremely clean inside, outside, and under.

 

Count me in.

Took all 4 wheels off today and did a degrease, clean and wax on the inside of the wheels. Also took some NeverDull to the exhaust and wiped down anything that looked dirty enough to transfer to my clothes. I don't get too worked up about it as the harder you try the worse it gets.

 

 

You think that's sick? Try painting all of the bare metal parts down under there black! And then cleaning it all every three months. Done because Cal's a show car. Warped Huh!!

 

I have never cleaned the underside of my Mustang (yet) since it never sees rain or puddles. I know it is a bit dusty, but I can live with that for now. When I first got my '02 Explorer Sport Trac, I would clean the underside all the time. Now THAT is a big job! The guys at the dealership always commented on how nice I kept that thing. Now that the Mustang has taken the Sport Tracs spot in the garage, I don't have the time or energy to keep the Sport Trac as clean as I like. Oh well.

 

I just tried, but the glare was just too much

And no, you're not crazy, I put tire shine on the insides of my fender wells, clean water spots of things like sway bars and panhard bars, etc...

silly me...I spent the last three days installing a supercharger, a-arm brace with torque limiters, che upper control arm, lower control arm relocation brackets, and a wideband....guess i should have cleaned my undercarriage....woulda saved money..
