93 octane with ethanol or 91 octane ethanol free?
Here in NE Wisconsin we are lucky to have a lot of stations supplying ethanol free premium gas. Thank God for the snowmobile and outboard manufacturers that are pushing for this and the negative impact on small engines. The downside is the octane rating is only 91 octane. A couple of stations do offer 93 octane premium but it is 10% ethanol.
Is the two points in octane worth it to risk negative effects of the ethanol?
