09 GT 1st detail

I bought the car last July, & the dealership had already put Ziebart's Diamond Gloss on it. The treatment came with a 1 year warranty, & I was surprisingly impressed with the finish, so I didn't remove it. After looking at the car yesterday morning & seeing some swirls & other marring, it was time for a detail. I clayed it, polished with Poorboys Professional Polish, gave it a coat of Black Hole glaze, & then EX Sealant with Carnauba. I'm going to start layering on the wax this coming week. Normally I'd use Natty's Blue only, but I have this new jar of Natty's Red that works great on the red Mach. I'm looking forward to trying it on a black car.

Finished product

2 coats of Natty's Blue & 2 coats of Red. Pics don't really do justice to the finish, though. Had to drive the Mach in the rain the other day, so it's next!

Thanx, but I'm a loyal Poorboy's user. I've never found anything better.

Poorboys is great, as is zaino. Used that stuff for a couple years when i started detailing and great results. But IMHO nothing is quicker, easier to use, and produces such great results as croftgate. I say order a sample pack and try it for yourself! But thats just me, im not tryin to turn you away from poorboys. But just an idea

I try to be open minded & not rule out any product, unless I've tried it myself & not been happy with it. I'd be willing to give it a try sometime. I just saw such dramatically better results when I switched from Mothers/Meguiers to Poorboy's, & I'm completely satisfied. I'm also one who believes that proper detailing is probably 70% technique, & the rest product. I think if your technique is good, you'll get excellent results with pretty much any high end product.

Agreed with the technique part. In fact i still have some poorboy products on my shelf that i hvnt used. I guess on a big detail day thats what i save it for but croftgate still blows my mind every time i use it. Try it out, you wont be dissapointed!

That's a good attitude to have. So many people get locked into one product line and limit themselves.

Nice job by the way. That clear coat is like a mirror as it was meant to be
