Roll Call - Members in Europe
So linked up with the guys from my area and went to Streetculture last night in Nuremburg. We were like the first people in the lot and got all set up next to each other. One of the guys had a sick matte blue and black painted GTR. His son showed up later with his RHD S14. Everyone else had either an EVO or STI. One VW GLI as well. The GLI got tons of attention because it's a US only model. My car got a lot of attention until some clown with an 07 GT that had the most gaud awful body kit and Lambo doors parked next to me. There was a guy that showed up from Hoenfels with his 2011 Kona GT. He had tons of stuff done to his ride, ProCharger, BOSS intake, full suspension, SVE Drift wheels, exhaust. At one point people all over the lot were revving their motors and then he revved his and the whole lot stopped and crowded around his car to see what the hell was causing such an awesome sound. Good times. On the way back I was followed but a couple of guys and we hit some good speeds on the autobahn. I didn't want to push too hard because of the limited sight distance. I only got up to about 120.
That could be fun! Obviously I won't have the Mustang(s) but it would still be fun to go see that, play dress up and act like rich folks for a bit.
I'm wanting to start knocking out some stuff on the Europe bucket list, too. Unless I get orders somewhere else on this side of the pond, my clock runs out in June.

Since I don't have a Mustang here, I'd either be doing a rental of some sort or hoping to catch a ride with someone after flying in wherever we end up. And it's not like plane tickets can't be had relatively cheap here (just booked a round trip to Valencia for V-Day weekend for 60 Euros). So I have no issues with that at all.
That said, Portugal is the bomb diggity. I went on two fishing trips this summer out of Albufiera, and had an awesome time. You get all the beauty of Spain plus polite people who speak English, which is rare here in Spain.

Any ideas on what Ford is going to do in Europe for the Mustang debut next year. I know that there will be a party in South Carolina (which I'm going to miss out on since moving to Germany) and one in Vegas for the U.S. I haven't heard of anything happening over on this side of the pond though. It would be cool to be a part of that when it happens.
Hey fellas. I'm thinking about buying another house so I put the Boss up for sale here. If you know anyone up your way that might be interested let me know. I have a French guy looking at it now but we'll see if that works out.
I just did my pack out and they found my oil. lol. If any of you guys are interested I can sell you the oil and filter. I have to check if its 8 or 9 quarts of Motorcraft. Make an offer and send me your APO address.
I also have a few quarts of gear oil I bought from opie oils in the UK. Never got a chance to do the diff so I can let them go pretty cheap also. I'll try to get pics up later. I go on leave on Friday though.

Eddie, did you have any luck with the French guy looking at the BOSS? Where'd you end up PCSing to?
I've been here in Navarre, FL for a week now (beautiful!), about to make an offer on a house with an awesome detached over-sized garage. Can't wait to bring the BOSS down from AL to her new home!

Bad news for me today.
Well in case there is anyone on here who doesn't already have your international driver license (like me because I was too busy to make time to go get one) you are **** out of luck. As of this week the licensing offices across Germany will no longer be able to issue one if you have a USAEUR license. Trust me, I have called, talked to the German dudes that do the license training on Graf, and the licensing office in Amberg this morning. No one seems to know why. My commander sent a note to the JAG dudes that do international law for JMTC to see what the hell we are supposed to do.
This causes a couple of problems.....1. I can't drive the Mustang or a rental to Italy this summer for the vacation I have been planning and that has been paid for for almost a year..........2. If they don't figure something out then everyone who just got here or was too busy to go get it before the hammer went down won't be able to drive a car outside of Germany. I thought about trying to just get one through USAA or AAA but they are saying that those are no longer valid.
But what if I just used my US license, my passport, and that one? I'm glad you were thinking that. If I should get a ticket or accident of any kind I would be screwed because they would figure out I was a military member stationed in Germany and broke German law. Come on USAG Bavaria. Figure this **** out.
