I just found the pricing info on the Hockenheimring. It's 3 Euro to get in and 12 Euro for 15 minutes. There is a 40 vehicle cap per session. I am still trying to find the dates that open us is offered. There's no racing allowed but you are welcome to drive the track. The calender still isn't translated to the english version of the website. More to follow.

Interested to buy a Boss, sure... Just that the government here is very interested in that as well, and the car will be WELL out of my affordable range by the time it arrived in the Netherlands.

So I'll pass... unfortunately

I'll keep my ears open. I hear they charged for time rather than laps at hockenheim.

Would be awesome if I was going to be here still. Been able to travel a bit, but still didn't get to go everywhere I would have liked.

I think that may end up being the problem I run into. I'm going to try and hit it hard next summer since this one will be out of the question.

Congrats! Of what I heard it's just as hard to pass as the dutch version, so I know you've probably spent a bit of sweat and time on it

Nice! I was able to do mine before I got here. It was easier than the first time I did it.

It was not quite as easy as I had thought. I heard from someone that they got theirs before they got here and I was a little irked. I have been studying for quite some time. Glad I passed so it makes things easier when my car gets here this month. Now to hunt for insurance. I have been trying to shop around since my current insurance company wants to charge me 3X as much as I was paying in the states for full coverage for two cars. WTF?

Not sure if they have it up there, but Atlantic Trust here has some great deals from what I hear. I'm going to need to get insurance for my bike next month, think my friend paid around $300 for the year and it included ADAC membership.

I got referred to an insurance company off post. Apparently it's the European version of an insurance company that is in the states. My bud has a 2012 328i vert and he pays about 140 Euro a month. Not bad. I can't remember the name.

I'm cheaper then that on insurance... Depends which country you're in too. I know with us they base the premium on the new-value of the car. Since the Mustang never was sold and so does not have a new-value they can base the premium on, the costs can vary somewhat.

I will have to see what happens when I actually go down to get my insurance. I will have to take the contract to get it translated because I can't read German. Then I will go back and see what the deal is.

Well show season officially hit last night here in Bavaria. I bailed on going because of the awesome weather so next Friday I will try again to see if it will hold out. I have been enjoying my car quite a bit. We will be going to the Streetculture.de events if you would like more information check the site out.

I vote for Nuremburg for the party.
