Your first pony car
What was it and when did you get it???
What is up guys!! I am overly excited this week and probably will be for a long time. On sunday i signed for my very own 2006 torch red gt premium with a 5 speed manual. I traded in my 04 MINI cooper s. I just turned 23 on Oct 10th, a day after john lennons birthday haha, and this 06 was my present to myself. We are a mustang family. My dad and sister both have 2004 gt convertibles. They are automatics but are still awesome. My sister and I shared my dads old 98 gt convertible automatic for a while until the transmission got flushed incorrectly, causing it to slip when shifting from 3rd to 4th gear; but this is finally my mustang in my name! Needless to say, its my baby haha.
I guess what ive been trying to say is: I would like to introduce myself to the forums. My name is Sean and bleed scarlet and gray. Go Bucks! Im also a Mustang fanatic. My first V8 was my 97 thunder bird LX when i was 16.
Also does anyone know of any good mustang groups around North Atlanta area? Roswell/Alpharetta/Johns Creek if we are getting real specific haha.

My first one that I owned was a 92 GT in 2003 that was followed by a 2003 Mach 1. My dad owned a 93 GT convert. back in 93 and is the car I took my driver's exam in.

The first pony car I fell in love with was a '60's Mustang fastback my dad drove home why working at a car lot back in 1971. I sat outside and looked at that car until I finally went and got some paper and tried to draw it (I was 5). I failed to capture its beauty so I threw the drawing away.
The next pony car I had the honor of working on was a '67 GT500 one of my brother's friends owns. I was 15 at the time. My hands were small enough to install the three-piece headers so I did. We took it out for a "spin" later. I got to ride in the back but man that was fun. A few years later, he let me drive it for a few miles. Greg still has the car, still has the original 428/4 speed/9" but wears Corvette white paint instead of the original blue striped in white (it was in primer when I worked on it). Greg also bought a 2007 GT500 and takes them both to Sebring for some fun. My brother usually drives the '67 and Greg drives the '07.

This is a really good north GA Mustang club. I go to the Maggie Valley show every year if I can. http://www.negeorgiamustangclub.org/index.html
My first Mustang was a brand new 1982 GT bought right off the showroom floor in Florida. $9,616 and I still have the window sticker.

Congrats and welcome. Happy belated Birthday.
My first Mustang was a 2007 V6 redfire convertible. I named her Stella. I became attracted to the Mustangs in 2005 never thought I would ever get one. In 07 when I passed by the Ford dealership I would gaze at the Mustangs. Get home and tell my husband they were calling my name. lol. One day out of the blue he says lets go to Ford and just look at the Mustangs. Looking turned into buying. I enjoyed her until this summer.
My husband and I were on a little road trip and driving back we got to talking about the Mustang and the little things we did not like about it. Mostly the lack of visibility with the small back window and the blacked out corners. Also talked about how some people say a V6 was a watered down Mustang. She was paid for so I was planning on keeping her even though I fancy the idea of a new one, a GT in silver. From time to time I would get mailings from Ford wanting to buy her. I said it would have to be a good d. eal for me to do that or trade. So we get home and my daughter tells us Ford called with a hot deal. That was too freaky. We called back, this was late on a Friday, and made plans to go in on Monday. Over the weekend I searched the dealer inventory online. That dealership had no new GTs. I searched other dealers in surrounding areas and found one silver 2013 GT. It was love at first sight and I named it Andy. We went to the dealership we called. The same one I got my V6 from. They could have brought me one in from another state but I did not want to wait and already had my heart set on the one I found. We called them and told them we were coming to get it. Got there and test drove it. Oh Baby! What a ride. I LOVE my new baby.
I was a little sad letting Stella go. Checked back a little over a month later and was happy to learn she had been sold. I hope her new home is a good one and she will be loved again.

My first Pony was an '80 medium light blue hatchback. I loved that car! Her name was Carolina as she was Carolina Blue. I got her in 1986 shortly after my 16th birthday and drove her until 1990 when at close to 150,000 miles she had a cracked block and as a 20 year old college student I did not have the money for a new engine. Now I have Blue Thunder, a 2014 impact blue V6. I have driven many Fords over the years but just these two Stangs and if I have my way I'll keep driving him until the day I die!

My first Mustang was a 2010 V6 with a manual. I traded my 2005 Dodge Neon SXT in on it. The Mustang was brand new, sitting on the showroom floor. Bought it a a birthday present to myself! It was a plain jane model, but it was black on black and fell in love with it. Had that car for three years. I really wanted a GT by then. Then I found my dream car, my current 2010 GT premium.

Welcome. My first pony was a 2000 gt. I bought it after my honda prelude's frame rusted out after owning it for 10 years for 500 bucks. Worked my way up to a 2009 gt and now a 2014 gt. Have fun and let the modding begin.

My 1st Mustang was my 1st new car...An 80 Coupe, 2.3 auto. It was bittersweet, which was a metalic orang/red. The only options were an AM radio, full bodyside moldings and 14" wheels with turbine wheel covers. Boy, was it slow!

My first was an '08 Shelby GT that I got when I traded in my 350Z. Still wish I had that thing (the Shelby, not the Z).

This is my fourth car, second "real" car and my first mustang. I bought a 07 Dodge Charger for my first car, then came my 97 Honda Accord that I used as a daily. I sold the Accord(got offered $3200 for it) when I was 19 and DD the charger for that year. I then got my 5.0 at 20 years old, that same week I bought another Honda, this time a Civic. I am also 23 years old OP.
What's next? I think I may look at a C6Z or a Duramax....completely opposite ends.

Drove my parents red 95 v6 at 16 and it all for started from there. Fell in love with mustangs from that point on. At 17 bought my own metallic slightly darker red 04 v6 with 60k miles and still dd her. At 19 mom picked up a built 95 gt for cheap and I basically drive and tracked that one, it's down at the moment waiting for me or my brother to be able to afford a new set of heads. At 23 just bought a 03 azure blue mach 1 with 6500 miles, so basically new and I love this car. If I was a millionaire I would own one of every gen I think and never drive anything else
