Yankee air freshener ruined my stang

So I had a Yankee air freshener in my car I guess it melted from the sun and the gel dripped only car it actually ate away at the middle part of my car. I just bought my car like 4 months ago it's a 2011 g/b mustang. I baby my car I'm sick over this so take my advice don't buy these.

First one, second one... there's sporadic mention from 2006 on up to this year. I'd hazard a guess that they're having a 98% moment with these things (i.e. 98% of them don't leak) and the 2% that do are random mis-manufactured or such.

Still, though, you'll want to sic 'em. Maybe the other reports would be of help, if you were to point them out.

/small packages with things inside them will leak or explode in cars. It gets hot. Hot=pressure=leak/explode.
//I don't know why Yankee would even make such a dumb thing.

I ended up getting so many negative comments from warning people about this under the grabber blue section it's pretty sad that warning people about a product that could screw up their car makes them instead say ignorant crap to you. I'm sorry to hear they did nothing for you. Hopefully I get somewhere. This has happened so many times I'm surprised they continue selling the product.

Yea after it happned to me i checked out complaints bout their stuff. I found so many and at least they could put "WARNING: Will explode and under heat". Or something like that. And idk why but most people are pretty friemdly on here, that guys been kinda problematic bout that his attitude at times

Did they ask you to send the air freshener back to them with a estimate of damages? They asked for that from me.
