Hey all!
I’ve got an 04 3.9L V6 with Charging issues. Basically the amount with the amount of aftermarket parts, the 105 AMP alt isn’t putting out enough power to charge the battery, resulting in voltage drop. I’ve tested wires, the battery, parasitic draw - all is in good shape - which leads me to conclude I need an Alt with a high Amp output in order to charge the battery correctly.
ANYWAYs, does any one know if the 3.8 130 AMP Alternators would fit the 3.9L Engine? Are they the exact same size? I know they’re basically the same engine - I just want to make sure to be safe before I make the purchase.

The bracketry/mounting aren't the same. That said, here:

That is for your model year and engine. 130 amp. So they do make them. This is but the first example I alighted upon with a google search of '130 amp 3.9l mustang alternator', there are others out there.
