Wide Feet?

Okay I know this sounds kinda weird but anyone else notice that unless you are careful, when you are stopped, and you have your foot on the brake pedal sometimes the foot also accidentally pushes the gas pedal down.

I know my feet are not unusually wide, but it does seem to occur with certain shoes.

Shoes are the key and I actually noticed that when I first bought my Mustang. Besides getting 'used to it' I have a certain pair of shoes that I just love when driving the GT.
My poor neighbor had a collector quality '94 Jaguar XJS that he could never drive comfortably due to the closeness of the pedals. He even let me drive it once and sure enough you really had to concentrate since the pedals were so closely spaced. I would have bought some special driving shoes personally but he ended up selling the car.

I have duck feet. They don't taper at the toes and I have to have the EE width in boots. It sucks. However, if I'm wearing soft shoes such as rubber-soled loafers or racing shoes, I don't have any problem with the foot laying on both pedals. The new toe-shoes are amazing when it comes to driving.

It is not as bad as my Mazda3 was.
I drive with my running shoes on in the winter and normally drive barefoot in the summer. Even when I do wear my good Fry boots I do not have the problem in the Mustang that I did in my Mazda though.

I have had this problem in my II ever since the trans tunnel was beat out to accommodate an AOD lol. I have to tuck my foot underneath the brake at times, but I do have unusually wide feet lol

Never seen it to be a problem in my car. If anything, I wish the pedals were closer together so I could heel-toe in more than just the 2 pairs of shoes I have wide enough to bridge the gap.

I think it depends on the outfit Glenn's wearing at the time. Pumps with the sun dress, heels with the evening gown.
