Who has used a transport service?

Has anyone here bought a car from another part of the country and used a transport service to have it delivered? If so, how long did it take for the broker to find a driver? The wait is making me nuts.

I used one once. The only problem I had was the delivery date was not kept. I wouldn't have used them if the car was running. Jump on a plane and drive that puppy home. Where is the car and where are you located?

It's in Pennsylvania, and I'm in Mississippi. A bit over 1000 miles, I think. I'd considered flying and driving, but the price of flight is pretty steep, even accounting for the added value of a personal molestation (already had my colonoscopy, thank you). Plus, that seems like a hard way to break in a new car, IMO.

I flew to Milwaukee and drove mine back to Louisiana. Wasn't a bad trip. And a good way to get comfortable with the new ride.

I have used Horseless Carriage Carriers to transport racecars I have bought and sold. They are not the cheapest, but handle cars very well.

I had a great experience transporting 2 different cars. Wait time was minimal. Shop round for a good carrier.

Thanks for the replies, all. The broker called me today, and the car should be getting picked up tomorrow, and arriving either Thursday or Friday.
