Talking Whats happening to me ?

I must be going back to my teenyboppers years at age 67(Oh whats wrong with me) OMG'SH
I got my great deep blue premium GT last wed. not driving it much because I am keeping my 2006 fusion that is still a great car with only 121,ooo miles on it and its perfect. Keep miles down on my GT because its a 36 mo. lease anyway! But I ordered a cold air intake with a tune kit and magnaflow street cat back exhaust. Both to ge here Friday I hope. the set up install then tune and hope it performs as they promote. They say the cold air intake with a tune has got dyno results of up to 40WHP and +33 Torque. Then the magnaflow exhaust should add up to 20 or more if they have not hyped it to make a sale. If not they will get a return! BUt what say you experienced guys??

I'd say you must have it real bad to refer to yourself as a teenybopper, regardless of your age! If these Indiana pothole gardens ever dry out enough, maybe you can put on enough road miles to return to your senses (not that that big $#!+-eatin' Mustang grin will ever leave your face!). Cheers, Ken.

It's OK to not act your age. No one here does. It's why we drive Mustangs.

Just don't dress like this the next time you go to a cruise nite.....

Woe to the selfies!
But Guess I'M not doing the cold air intake mods after all. It voids my warranty.. So guess I'll just have to grow up a little!

well I guess I deserve it! But I installed my magnaflows street cat backs on my 2015 GT and what a let down.. Not even noticeable over the stock exhaust! 1100 bucks. Others said go flomaster or MBRP their louder. I went to magnaflow and on American muscle they have a sound sample and now I know it was doctored to sell. My car sounds nothing like the sample in AM magnaflow sound bite. Disappointed... Can't even return now since installed.I'll sell them to someone nice price???

I just went through this with the GT500 axlebacks. Have you heard then from outside the car?

That surprises me. Mine's a ragtop with the GT500 ab's and I hear mine just fine, top up or down. There's a significant difference from the stock mufflers.

Mods on a leased vehicle? Do you have to convert it back to stock when you return the car at the end of the lease?

service mgr. said exhaust OK. But no cold air intake. If there is a failure in the exhaust cat back it isn't warranted. I have original exhaust stored and will put back on when I turn it in! The exhaust changes nothing in the computer system or alters anything.

Mine are not that noticeable in the car. They are more noticeable outside the car and the driver needs to give it some gas. But they are also heavily masked by the sound of the Boss side exhaust.

BTW maybe you should also try the dyno and strip. Might have picked up some performance gain.

Also, there could be a little break in involved, yeah.

Well, well !!! What an *** am I ! So to speak. Maybe they were new yesterday and car did not have enough time to adjust but they sound nice . Deep but could be deeper not loud but talk thru the gears. Bill was right they are little bit above stock exhaust but enough to please. Not rattley, or canney. Very balanced. I was so wrong. Love em!
