What was / is your first mod?

I started with color matched mirror covers and a third brake light vinyl that lights up Mustang. Mostly, I've gone cosmetic on my 2012 v6 since then. Today, I'm going to install mmd hood struts, and am thinking about a CAI. Just curious for those who have modded their Mustang, where did you start, and for those that haven't but are thinking about it, what are you going to start with?

Shaker hood only, and that was done by the dealer. Absolutely love the look!
All the rest is factory stock right down to the Ford battery though.

Floor mats. The stock mats are a joke. Not to mention, no rear mats.

I got a set from AM- easy to install and look factory. I bought them after I put on wheel spacers in the back. I'm too cheap to get a staggered set of wheels & tires... For now.

I bought a cheap set at Target, but lately have been thinking about a set with emblems from AM. Too many mods, not enough cash

Hood struts installed. Pretty easy install, just need to get some wire ties to secure the window washer fluid tube.

All-season Michelin tires on Torq Thrust Bullitt wheels. Anybody need a set of 19" Performance Pkg. wheels wearing Pirelli shoes? Only 11 actual miles!

Locking gas cap. I'm a teacher and I am very sarcastic. I just imagined all kinds of things being added to my gas tank, none of them seemed like a good idea.

Boss front fascia, GT500 rear spoiler,GT500 rear lower fascia and leather seat covers.
It made the stock wheels look out of place, so guess what came next....

K&N filter, a set of 4:10 gears and remove all the emissions crap... Back in 1990 on an 89, 5.0.

It was so much easier back then..: But then again, a stock 5.0 now makes the same HP as mine did then with all those mods and is still emission legal..

Factory leather swap from Roush. The cost vs the factory option was extremely worth my day off from work

My husband ordered a set on ebay for a pickup truck. (they are plain and flat) They are matte black like the other parts on the car a look really nice! They are just wide enough for those meats on the car too!

Mine was the GT350/CS rear bumper, painted to match the HP, and then the sills, front GT lip, and lower portion of the CS bumper painted SEMA Hot Rod Black, basically the entire lower 'lip' of the car is a beautiful satiny black. They put extra heavy on the CS lower part to get rid of the texture too, all of it is smooth.

Much better that way. Love it still.
