HID headlights for me, I screwed up and put some aftermarket HIDS in and they look like garbage.

And im not sure if this will make sense to anyone else, and I truly mean no disrespect to our cars, I love them (11' GT Premium Kona). But for my age (26) the car I really grew up absolutely obsessing over was the 99'-04' Saleens. The car stands out and pulls at my heart more. If I had to do it over again, I'd get the Saleen.

I feel better not being the only one to search and not find one. I love my race red more every day I look at it.

It is tough to think of what I would have done differently, after almost 2 months with the SG V6 MCA. On the one hand the car is much better (for me) than I thought it would be (I am used to smaller and somewhat more stiff and nimble cars).

Now that I know it suits, I wouldn't have minded so much *if* I had dumped more $$ into it. That wasn't even so much the issue as being able to get what I wanted. More limited here than in the U.S., things are packaged and if you want one thing you have to take a bunch of others in many cases, and those others are often things I really didn't want.

Such as in the PP: I wanted everything except the tires and wheels lol, only by far the most expensive parts of the PP (I just got the 3.31 part). I wanted Recaros, but no can do except for a "track-style" V6 (i.e. virtually no options except PP allowed with Recaros on a V6 here - why??).

So what would I have done differently? Nothing the aftermarket can't easily provide for, for similar price/quality . Now, if you had asked what Ford (at least here) could have done differently to take more of my $$...

I would have waited a few more months, saved up more cash and bought a 2012 Competition Orange Boss.

I was exactly in the same situation! everyone was trying to talk me out of the brick red interior...but I didn't listen to them. after they saw it, everyone had to admit it's gorgeous. I really like my car and the options I chose, wouldn't change a thing. I had it made to order because I really wanted it built to my exact specs. but I also had to wait 8 months for it.

Recaros, Track Pack, and nav. Had those been options on my '11, I would have ordered them. The nav was on my list initially, but I got cold feet and didn't check it. Wishing I would have now. That's all going to change come April...

I love my glass roof, but if I had it to again I'd get the convertible and rear camera.

Not have done any engine mods - which ultimately lead to it's demise and farewell.

Not really into strips but not a bad idea either. Maybe some subtle ones along the lower body would look pretty good. Like the old GT350's.

The track pack and Recaros definitely would have found their way onto my car of they existed. I can't afford to trade her and I prefer the front of my car to the new one. I've followed your thread about retrofitting the parts. Thank you for pulling the information together to make it easier!

Short end of it - my input shaft snapped (auto trans...) and because of the engine Mods, Ford did not want to cover - I forked over 3800 for a new transmission. Gotta pay to play right, which comes with the territory- but +20hp didn't break that input shaft... The kicker was, Ford's replacement transmission had a giant scuff in one of the components and trans oil was leaking through it - Ford did not sell the faulty piece separately, and so my dealer went to a metal shop to cast a whole new piece (whole process took 3 months) I traded it at month 2...

I did the usual 4.6L mods - Bolt ons. (intake, 93 tune, throttle body, borla exhaust) nothing too outlandish by any means.

Had a fun time with it- I miss it - but in the end it got to be too aggravating... so I've had my MKZ now for 11 months (bought late December on a year end deal - timing worked out great.) I've got my hopes up for the 2015.

Not bought my black 07 GT at all and bought a used 03-04 Mach 1 for half the price. I love those cars.

In a few years, I'd be happy with a used one. Say it's 2018, and I spring for a used 2013 Shelby? How much you guys think it'd be then? 45k for a used unmolested 10k mile beauty?
