What are these? (wheel related question)

What are the 3 prong/helicopter looking things sticking out of the center cap on these wheels? I've never seen those before on that style of wheel. Would those come off and I would just be able to put the Ford center cap back in it's place?

Really? They're the spinner center caps, and came optionally on the 05-09 V6 wheels, and were a dealer installed option on the Bullitt wheels. They were to emulate the "knock-off" style wheels of the 60s...

Would I be able to just take those off and replace them with a "normal" center cap?

Yes. They are Ford parts, just take the place of standard caps.

Like he said...Just rip them off. The ones with the tri-bar pony emblems look much better. Especially if you make them black...

Well, you have to take the wheels off and pop them off from the back of the wheel, but...yes.

Ok, thanks guys. I agree that the black/tri emblem center caps look better.

Not true. They just pull right off from the front of the wheel. I say pull off the spinners, Plasti-Dip the wheels, and throw the spinners back on.

Yup. Luckily, I don't think thieves/d-bags ever figured that out.
