Question What makes a Steeda a Steeda, a Roush a Roush and a Saleen a Saleen?

Just curious as to what enables you to call your Mustang one of these names. Is it certain parts, or a certain amount of parts?

IMO.... It's the company putting there stamp on the mustang... There performance products and styling cues.
It's not that you can buy a mustang and put a few parts on it and call it something different, roush.. Saleen Etc buy mustangs and then have there own production run.
Makes sense to me.... If I'm wrong please correct me.

Hey mine is a very very limited Special edition Glenn. 1 OF 1
No really they all do basically the same mods to the cars and put their name on it. They take the Ford parts and make them better/over engineer them, and go from there.

A "Steeda/Roush/Saleen Mustang" is built by them and bought with the parts already installed. Adding their parts to a factory mustang you bought off the lot is at best a clone.

I have a bunch of Roush & Steeda stuff on my car, but I do not call it either and I correct people that call it a Roush

Yes, I will take it a step further.

When we develop a Steeda vehicle, some of the key questions our engineers ask are, "how can we strategically improve its handling." "Specifically what do we expect of the longitudinal and lateral dynamic behavior?" "How can we achieve the proper balance of sportiness verses comfort?" The answers to critical questions like these determine the fundamental set up of the vehicle we create for our performance-focused clients.

Next, we get down to the finite details of answering the above questions and identifying the specific components that must be changed from the stock vehicle in order to achieve the mandated performance and vehicle dynamics that are part of every Steeda vehicle we manufacture. This naturally applies to the suspension components (axles, driveshaft, brakes, and shocks, etc.), key powertrain components (transmission, engine, ECU, etc.) and lastly to the vehicle's body construction (increasing stiffness and improving aerodynamics).

The scope of what we do far exceeds just those items, as we are constantly laser-focused on improving the vehicle's overall driving dynamics – on the road, racetrack and dragstrip. The end result of this vehicle re-engineering is a high performance vehicle worthy of being called a Steeda.

Best Regards,

TJ

If You Posted Some Pics and Highlighted Any Steeda Parts it Might Help Us Do Some Research as Well. Any Steeda Stickers or Plaques on the Car Would be a Good Sign.

car is at my sons, steeda parts are everywhere from underneath the car, wheels, door jam tags say steeda under the hood steeda is all over everything, (has a tuner with steeda settings), glove box emblem. What we cant find is the tag with a number I have read about. It looks beyond me how some one couldve purchased everything thats on it and put the parts on themselves. But we can get pictures Thanksgiving to post.

Well Alright!

Love to Have You Visit More Often!

I Was A Steeda Parts Dealer Back in the Day! I Think it Was Gus I Used To Deal With! I Don't Suppose He is Still Around? Just Curious!

Thanks!
