Dodged a bullet (Bullitt?). Its been unnaturally windy in Nor Cal these past couple of days. I'd been keeping my Mustang under a "portable garage" (thank you Post Tool) but I was uneasy even with a bunch of sandbags on the corner posts. So I moved the 'Stang out of the way and less than a half hour later I found the shelter wadded up against my fence. It even bent a corner brace. I'm sure the paint would have been severely gouged had it still been in there.

Gabe, you just had to one up me, didn't you... Lol. Now my Maggie is yesterday's news. Hahahahaha

Seriously tho, congrats. Was there another size larger than the 2.3 available? I figured you'd opt for the larger. I've been extremely happy with my 2.3. I know the whipple is capable for more power than the Maggie, but everyday drivability and reliability is what I went for, without upping internals. Remember that around 550 - 600whp is where you want to stop before you need to upgrade "stuff" (tranny, internals, etc).

Last questions:

You BETTER be starting a build thread (see mine for reference )

Are YOU doing the install or a shop? I recommend you and some buddies. Saves $$$ plus you get "intimate" with your car It was singly the most fun mod/install I have ever done. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. He'll, I'd help if you were closer.

He seldom gets blown, but when He does, he chooses whipple.

There is a Whipple 2.9 but I didn't feel the NEED for that since the 2.3 with other mods and smaller pulleys can definitely make some serious power.
For now, I'm gonna have to make do with 550-600 rwhp ... Lol

As far as the install, looking into doing it myself. I don't believe the work will be that hard to do, I do have a buddy with a bay I can use at his sign business, and a few friends have lots of tools and are not afraid to use them, lol.

The build thread will come, lots of pictures and the obligatory first start-up video

For now, I'm highly looking forward to making a first video of my new Borlas which should be here Monday, hopefully installed by Tuesday at the latest.
There's some snow forecast for around here for the middle of next week which might push off the install for a few days

I posted this on my Facebook page on Monday...
65 degrees in November... yeah baby! I treated Mistress Lauren's fuel tank with SeaFoam, took her out for a romp on I- 495, topped off the fuel, brought her home and gave her a good washing... she was a very dirty girl.... well, dirty by my standards.

Awesome gabe!!! Yes please keep us informed, esp with you borla thread. Axleback or catback? I strongly suggest the full catback. I started out with just axlebacks and quickly upgraded.

As for the arrival of your whipple kit, it will be a long wait. I remember. When you do see it on your doorstep tho, you might almost cry hahahaha

Lol .... well, everything's ordered except the pulley.
The exhaust, I went with the axle-back only, but I have the resonators deleted already, so I think I'm gonna be very happy with the sound.

Hmmm not sure with res deleted already. Borlas axlebacks paired with the borla x pipe and OTA pipes is pure harmony. Have you heard mine yet gabe? Seen the vid?

Just looked them up on YouTube and love the sound, but I also absolutely loved the sound of the vids I saw of the mufflers by themselves .... so we'll see .... a video of the first start-up will come, and I'll try to take in a pull-away as well ....

I love my GT500/no-resonators combo.
I think I'm gonna be thrilled with the swap to the Borla mufflers.

I drove the SOB home from Muncie in a freakin' snowstorm! I hate winter. Maybe I should change my name to Nathan.
