Well Doug,
I don't believe that simply bolt ons affect your warranty: performance air filter, cold air intake, performance chip (not quite sure on that). You may want to check with one of the members like ISELLFORD who is a dealer just to make sure what you want to do is okay.

each dealer is different. some are mod friendly, some aren't. ask around and find out which dealerships near you are more tolerant of them.

but to be on the safe side, evidence of a chip will probably toss your warranty.

exhaust is usually okay, as are pulleys. CAI is a maybe.

they're not supposed to void the entire warranty, just the parts that the aftermarket part affected. for example, lowering springs may void out your suspension, but not your transmission.

don't go driving in there with drag radials, or shredded rubber under your car. they will consider that abuse and void the entire thing.

there have been people having the warranty on their transmissions voided due to aftermarket shifters.

i would think you'll be fine with a gear swap though.

I'm not an attorney (although I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once), but as I understand the Magnusen-Moss Warranty Act, manufacturers cannot void a warranty just because of the installation of aftermarket parts. The parts have to cause damage for the warranty to be voidable.

Remember, your warranty is not voided by add ons. If the add on causes a problem, it will not be covered by the warranty, but the warranty is not voided.
