Were Cooper Tirese ever a standard tire?

My 2012 Mustang ( which I purchased in 2013 -- lease car return) has Cooper 19" Summer only tires .

Were these standard? I do not see them listed in the tire booklet which came with my Mustang.

Thanks

Not that I am aware of. They have never really been an OEM company. They make great tires.

The Focus has been using Cooper tires lately from the factory (RS3-S). Not sure when that started, I think 2013-ish model year. Not sure if Conti's are also used are have been replaced by the Coopers.

It's plausible your Mustang had them stock, but I don't know for sure.

It is a stock 2012 V6 -- with the handling/performance package. HD rear sway bar, frame brace across the front struts,,,,,,. larger brakes ?

Humm; the window sheet says .255/40 R19 SUMMER TIRES -- and there is a sticker on the Door Jam saying -- "Do not use below 40 F. "

Thanks for all the replies. I may get to like this site :-)

Are they new tires? Your dealer might have put them on when the lease got returned? And like Ken said, the Cooper Zeon RS3-S (S= Summer) are the tires Roush use. I like them, i have the Copper Zeon RS3-A (A= All Season)

Interesting:; Tires are RS3-A ,,, but label on door jam says "SUMMER TIRES" These are the tires that were on the car when I purchased in last August with 17,000 miles on it. ( was a lease return)

Oh well, I'll be in the dealer in a few days, as they discovered a leak in the differential when I was getting an oil change. They ordered a new seal.

On another subject:
The car came with one of these pump & seal kits instead of a spare. I do not really like these. Anybody "upgraded" to a real spare or even a "donut" spare?

How do I put a photo of my car on my postings ?

Cooper Tires are standard on the Roush Stage 3 cars.
Roush and Cooper tires worked on the design and engineering specifically for the Stage 3 cars.

Talk to your dealer, they should be able to order you a spare and jack. My 2011 didn't come with a spare also, but i have one now.

Hershey, I answered you in another thread but it was the wrong info. If you have a V6 you need the spare tire kit from accessories.ford.com

Nothing is simple --- description says 17" wheels. I have 19" wheels. I have to have a more detailed talk with the dealer. First price they "quoted" $500.

I was thinking more along the lines getting one from a junk yard from an 05-09?

The other question is the overall diameter of a 16", 17", 18" tire and wheel the same as the 19" wheel? Would seem to me that they have to be, otherwise different gearing would be needed for the speedometer.

Who would have thought this could get so complicated?

I put the RS3-A's on my car after the Pirellis wore out at 25,000 miles. I like them a lot. The only thing I find kind of odd is that they are sort of a washed out medium gray color - not real black. They have been this way since I got them and I keep wondering if I should contact Cooper...but I just keep driving.
