When I was pulled over a few months back for speeding, I told the officer I had no excuse. He says to me "no excuse for not getting a Stage 3!" He let me off with a warning and I was doing more than 70 in a 45.
I had a couple friends that worked for Detroit PD when I lived there. I think they get so tired of dealing with loser thugs, they're not really worried about car guys like us.

I think it's great. Glad that an officer can maintain a sense of humor. Most people don't realize the amount of messed up stuff these guys deal with on a daily basis. I am glad you decided not to write a letter to the dept. If calling you out was part of his coping mechanism, that's a lot better than pulling you over and violating your girlfriend
