V8 Engine swap

Needs to be more Astony
I would concour with Jon. Its not just the engine that needs swapped, but transmission, rearend, you'd prob want to upgrade to gt suspension and brakes.

+1, swapping from the 4.6 V8 to a larger V8 wouldnt be that big of an issue, but v6 to v8 is pretty complicated, IIRC

It wouldn't be too hard if you like the work. Otherwise it would be a pain. On top of the tranny and rear you would need to upgrade the suspension, need a new k-member if Im not mistaken, and a GT wiring harness. But if you enjoy doing that stuff, go for it!

$3600 ... that is how much a complete 2008 GT drivetrain is going for on local craiglists. 11K miles .. includes engine, accessories, all wiring, PCM, exhaust, manual tranny setup, etc ...
I would buy it but already have S/C on my 4.0 ....
