Using a GPS to Find Speed Traps?

ok I have a GPS which is cool, but I found this online and wondered if it works like it says it does, basicly you down load poi maps that are updated as needed. when your moving around in your car, it 'alerts you' to 'known' speed traps and traffic cameras.

Sounds cool ( I want it), does anyone on here use something like this? I think there are a couple of sites that do this. this is the one I was looking at.

I have the same head unit so you bought the software and you tranfered it to your card, plunked it in the front of the unit and went into the setting to get it to upload ? I;m going to get in touch , to see if works in Canada, if anything it helps us to be a more safer driver, in knowing if its like a frequented route drive to develope a habit of just automatically doing it. But in the long run watch if it dips into this non called cash cow they run they'll lay down a hammer.
So I got a reply they said it wont work with my avic 700bt ?
Edward, thanks for contacting us.
Unfortunately PhantomALERT is only compatible with GPS devices from GARMIN, TomTom and Magellan. Our iPhone application is in the final development stages slated for release in late December or January, but we do have one for the Google Android phone.
