Tire size on base model

Was wondering if 275/40/19 rear tires would fit on my 2021 base model, without complications. Thanks in advance

As long as the wheels are the right offset/backspacing it would not be any problem since the Performance Package comes with 275/40 19's in the rear.

Ya the fronts will be 255. So even if its not the PP, the base model is fine?

TireRack.com recommends 255/40/19 for square setups and 255/40/19 (front) 285/35/19 (rear) staggered setups.. Personally IMHO, I see no reason 275/40/19" tires wouldn't fit without any complications..
I run 275/40/18" tires on 9.5" wheels on all 4 corners with no complications whatsoever.. Meanwhile, tire rack link is provided below and welcome aboard.

That is the same set up the Performance Package has, car goes down the same production line, bushing change but believe it or not most everything under the car is the same. I know of a friend that has the 305/30 19 in place of the 235/50 18's the wife's 2020 GT came with

OP! Are you running the stock 9" wheels on all 4 corners? The setup for the performance package 1 calls for 255/40/19 on 19x9" wheels up front and 275/40/19 on 19x9.5" wheels (rear) If you intend on running a square setup on all 4 corners, I would recommend going with 19x9.5" size wheels paired with 275/40/19" tires.. Otherwise run a staggered setup of 255/40/19 up front and 275/40/19 (rear) on your stock 9" wheels.

The standard Ford Mustang GT comes with 235/50 rubber at all four corners. The Mustang GT Performance Pack 1 nets buyers 255/40 tires up front and 275/40 in the rear, while the Performance Pack 2 (PP2 GT) moves up to 305/30 sized rubber at all four corners.

I'm submitting a photo, but it needs to be approved by a mod. But the tires in the pic will be 255 front and 275 back. Once it's uploaded, maybe that will help understand is they will fit. Also I live in Canada, where we have GT Fastback (base) or the Premium model, which is your digital cluster and leather interior. You can add the performance package if wanted, but I didn't. So the base model came with 255 all around.

OP! 275/40/19" tires can be paired with your stock 9 inch wheels. Rim width range is between 9-11 inch size wheels with a measured rim width of 9.5 inches. Just keep in mind you'll have some tire bulge when pairing a 275/40/19 size tire with 9 inch diameter size wheels.

Thank again for answering. As long as it doesn't negatively affect the vehicle, suspension, handling, etc. Looking forward to putting them on

Just searched them, and this is what they are:

19"x9" (F) 19" x 9.5" (R) Ebony Black Painted Aluminum Wheels

• 255/40 R10 (F) 275/40 R19 (R) (Summer Only) Tires

They shouldn't have a negative affect on the suspension, clearance.. However, when running a larger size 275/40/19 tire on a smaller diameter 9" wheel in the front, handling and cornering aren't going to be quite as crisp and precise compared to pairing them on a measured rim width of 9.5"

For some reason the picture I attached still hasn't gone thru. Is there a way to send you a pic of the tires I purchased, and get your opinion?

If your unable to post pics of the tires you purchased, just provide the brand and size.. If they're 275/40/19" tires? as previously mentioned, they have a rim width range between 9-11" Measured rim width is 9.5"
Also as previously mentioned, you may have just a bit of bulge when paring 275/40/19" tires on your stock 9" wheels, but other than that, no real negative effects regarding suspension or clearance..
Just keep in mind that handling and tight cornering in the front aren't going to be quite as precise and crisp when compared to paring 275/40/19 size tires on measured rim widths of 9.5"

Are you uploading the tires into the post by clicking on the picture Icon in the picture below where the grey square is above upload?

Assuming from the picture images posted, you purchased 255/40/19" tires and 275/40/19" tires.. It also appears they're installed on your stock 9" wheels. IMHO, I don't see any reason for concern regarding fitment nor clearance issues.. Just make certain to install the 255/40/19's up front and 275/40/19's in the rear.. As mentioned in a previous post, the rim width range for 275/40/19" tires is between 9"-11"

Therefore, your wheels are within the correct width ranges.

looks kinda like the tires came with wheels inside? that's handy, makes it a lot easier to bolt them on

The TPMS sensors will not need to be changed if those are take offs from a 2021.
