Terrible day at my house

Not sure where to post this.

Today, I had to put my black lab Casey to sleep. I cried my eyes out and still am. He was one of thirteen and had the "A" type personality. He was gung ho.

He adapted to our house and was a great friend. There is no way I can describe him in a single post. This has broke this old man down to pieces. I will never be the same. I am thankful for them time we had. This may be the worst day of my life.

Im a grown man and completlely broken apart. IM TRIning to hold on. Im sorry everybody. This time emotion has over come me. Im sorry.

I will never forget this guy. Casey was special. sorry for venting. Casey was the best.

A special Pet is just like a child. It gives back what it recieves. It's obvious you loved your dog very much.

I felt the same way when I lost my Bichon, Chloe. She was my shadow and followed me everywhere. She always greeted me at the door when I came home. She snuggled with me at night. It's been years and I still get a pain in my heart thinking about it. I cryed as well that day.

As far as losing a child most of you know how familier I am with that. I certainly can relate to your reference of the reminders. I won't go on about that as this is your forum to grieve.

All I can say is take it one step one day at a time. It will be hard you will have good days & bad but you will go on. I know this only too well.

Today will be rough so Allow yourself to feel what you need to feel and do not worry about losing it in front of others or anything else for that matter. Just do what you have to do to get through.

MGb,

KC

I was the same way when we lost our first dog a few years ago. The house was so quiet and all of his things were everywhere. It was a feeling I cannot describe.

I"ll be prayin for your comfort and strength chevys. Loss is hard to deal with at any capacity.

Yep, same here. I gave the bowls and good toys to friends who had dogs, and just kept the collar.

Remember the good times.

My F150 ranch truck wears two collars on the steering column from fallen friends. Tags jingle when I drive.
